How to Make a Crochet Snowman

A crocheted snowman

The Spruce / Debbie Wolfe

Create this simple snowman to use as an appliqué or an ornament for your Christmas tree. It's simple to create the body and head using a magic circle. The snowman is also fully customizable—make the circles as big as you want to fit your needs. Swap out the color of the buttons or scarf to match your sweater or shirt if using it for appliqué. However you make it, this easy-to-create crochet snowman will be a fun addition to your holiday decor.

Tip

If you're using the snowman as an ornament, make a second snowman and sew the two together on top of one another to make make the snowman sturdier. If you want it to look more three-dimensional, stuff polyfill between the layers before sewing the pieces shut.
